This week we have been learning about climate change this is my poster about what we have learnt and it is telling you about some facts how can we pevent it and what it is. I liked this activity because we got to work in groups. And it was really fun learning about climate change.

Mirror Image

This week in numeracy we have been working on trasformation this is were you reflect the shape over the X or Y axis or rotate the shape or traslate the shape or traslate the shape by sliding it up, down, left, or right we had to make a puzzle for other people to solve. comment below if you know how i have trasformed my square. i liked learning about trasformation as it was more hands on.

This week we have done lots of art and we have done calander art. Here is my art I have done. It is aboriginal art and it was pretty fun to make it.

Jake Bailey

A couple of weeks ago a man came and talked about how he survived cancer to all the year 7 and 8 kids. His name was Jake Bailey. We learnt that he had cancer when he was 18 and then he gave a speech to all the Christchurh Boys High learners. The speech was so inspiring that it went worldwide and he became famous. He was in hospital for a long time to  cure his cancer.  Jake was very inspiring to listen too and said we should practice being happy to help us in the bad times of our life.

Enlargment Maths

This week we focused on 3 different types of maths art, enlargement, Rotational Symetery and tessellation. I chose enlargement art. You could choose what character you wanted to enlarge so I chose Darwin off The Amazing World of Gumball. It was really fun and I want to do it again.

Legend of Poutini Important Places Map

This term we have done a map showing all of the places that Poutini went to in the legend of ponamu if you click on the markers you will find out what happend at each place. I liked this activity because it was really fun to retell a story in a different way.

Wishtree Novel Study

This term we have been reading a book called Wishtree as a class.  It is about friendship, racism and including others.  It was a good book but kind of sad some of the time that people can be so mean to other people when they don't even know them.  This is my book cover design.  You should read the book.

What I have blogged about this year.
Today in maths we were learning to make a graph using google sheets.  This is my graph about how many blog posts we have done this year. The graph shows that I have done 5 Literacy, 3 Inquiry, 1 Blog X and 1 Art post.

This is my 2nd graph for what type of tool I used to make my blog posts. It shows that I mostly use photos and writing. Now I need to try something new to make my DLO's to be more creative.
